Recent research has also included studies of semi-enclosed seas which are subject to rapid change and can be used as test basins for physical oceanographic questions of global relevance. Fundamental questions in the extraction of power from ocean tides are also being addressed.
Most of the
work is done in collaboration with graduate students,
postdoctoral
research fellows and colleagues in the School of Earth and Ocean
Sciences
and the nearby Institute of Ocean Sciences.
